Three words to describe Tatum: determined, leadership, driven. She learned these qualities from her sports related past. Through hard hard work and dedication, she will achieve her goals. She is a natural leader and prides herself on these characteristics.
Tatum was a competitive gymnast by the age of 9. This shaped who she was as a person, and did not know a life outside of gymnastics. She trained long and hard for competition season and was driven to succeed. She learned many of her life skills through gymnastics as it played such a big part in her life. After her gymnastics career diminished, she attempted volleyball. This earned her a scholarship to play at the Division II level at HNU 4 years later. Now, she has found other passions, which is spreading her knowledge about the sport of gymnastics and educating young children in multiple subjects. She is blessed with the opportunities she has received in life and takes nothing for granted. In her free time she likes to be outside, she enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, wakeboarding, and playing with her dog. She is pursuing her MA degree in Kinesiology at FPU with an emphasis in Physical Education in hopes to become a physical education teacher at the collegiate level. |
